PART 1 - is a small student game made for PC in UDK over the course of three weeks with a team of 4 students from NAD.
It is a short chase game and serves as an introduction to our game world. I made all of the characters (concepts, modeling, texturing) and most of the level design. I was also in charge of making sure it was playable in UDK; from creating the camera and character scripts to get a third person game, creating the animtree for the controls, physics assets, to character shaders and everything done with kismet for creating events in the game itself. Animator: Guillaume Croteau Environment: Jonathan Viens & Émile Viens PART 2 - is the prototype we presented to Ubisoft's Academia Game Lab Competition.
It received nominations for Best presentation, Best Marketing, Best artistic direction and Best prototype! This multiplayer deathmatch game was made with 4 artists from NAD and 4 programmers from McGill University over the course of 3 months. The game is a fast and joyful intergalactic battle where four players battle it out in the hope of being the last planet standing ! Gathering resources, building structures and shooting the other players are the three core mechanics of the game. Other than my work as a concept and character artist for this project, I was also part of the game design team that got the ideas for the game and that set all of the mechanics. |
Here is an example of my work as a level designer/level integrator/event scriptor
